This is LectorApp's privacy policy. Below are the conditions under which user data is collected, used, and protected.
1. Data Controller
The data controller for the personal data collected through this website and the LectorApp application is Hugo Miño del Castillo, holder of Spanish ID (DNI) 09064662V, domiciled at C/ Fuentenovilla 1, 2B, 28805 Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Spain. You can contact us at contacto@lectorapp.es for any question related to your data.
2. Data We Collect on This Website
This website only collects your email address when you join the Android or iOS beta waitlist. No other personal data is requested through this website.
3. Data We Collect in the Mobile App
Upon registration in the LectorApp application, we request your email, username, and password, necessary to identify you and maintain your profile. We also collect information about your reading habits (books added, pages read, activity) to provide statistics and improve your experience.
4. User-Generated Content
In the app you can upload content such as reviews, ratings, and covers. This content is stored in Supabase and linked to your account.
5. Legal Basis and Purpose
We process the waitlist email based on your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a), for the sole purpose of managing your access to the beta program. Data from your app account is processed for the performance of the service contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
6. Retention Period
The waitlist email is kept until you are granted access to the corresponding beta or until you request its deletion. Your app account data is kept while the account remains active; if you delete it, the data is erased unless we are legally required to retain it.
7. Recipients and Data Processors
Your data is stored in Supabase (database provider, with servers located in the European Union) and this website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Both act as data processors under contract, without using your data for their own purposes.
8. International Transfers
The Supabase database used by LectorApp is located in the European Union, so no international transfer occurs for this data. Web hosting on Vercel Inc. (United States) may involve processing of technical connection data through its global content delivery network, always under appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
9. Affiliate Links (Mobile App Only)
The LectorApp mobile app includes Amazon affiliate links: if you make a purchase through them we may receive a commission, without any of your personal information being transferred to Amazon. This feature is exclusive to the app and is not present on this website.
10. Minors
LectorApp is aimed at all audiences. There are no age restrictions, but we do not recommend its use without supervision for children under 13.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your data, as well as to request portability, object to processing, or request its restriction. You can delete your account directly from the app or exercise any of these rights by writing to us at contacto@lectorapp.es. If you believe we have not properly handled your request, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es).
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes within the app.
